Chiara Organtini, project manager of Lavanderia a Vapore, was appointed a as member of the European Dancehouse Network Board of Directors, which gathers together about 50 European dance houses. The board will hold its office for two years.
During the last general meeting which took place in Barcelona on the end of June, it has been voted for the re-election of the EDN board, consisting in a president, a secretariat, a treasury and some representative members from the various European dance houses. It is the first time, since its entry into the network in 2018, that Lavanderia a Vapore has covered this role.
Besides Italy, the board also includes Switzerland, Ireland, United Kingdom, Bulgaria, and Luxembourg; the presidency is entrusted to two co-directors, Kerstin Evert/Tanzplan (Hamburg, Germany) and Laurent Meheust/Le Gymnase – CDCN (Roubaix, France). Suzy Blok/ICK Dans Amsterdam is the new secretary, whereas Mitja Bravhar/Kino Šiška (Ljubljana,Slovenia) has been elected as treasurer.
