Different offers try to give space to young people, making their voices emerge and stimulating their active participation. Rejuvenating action with teenagers (and not for teenagers), in order to refresh the management and organization methods of Lavanderia a Vapore.

SCHOOL OF WISH
Keep out of reach of adults

What would school be like if teenagers ran it? What can students teach adults?
During the lab School of Wish, artists work with students to give space to their voices and perceptions, visions and codes, giving young people the power to change the institutions that surround them. The lab intends to let them build an imaginary school, starting from their pleasures and desires.

ARTISTS RESIDENCIES AT SCHOOL

Artist Residencies are creative processes that can enrich the research of the artist himself on one hand and, on the other, the creativity of the communities that take part in them. For this reason, Lavanderia a Vapore proposes a meeting between school and the artistic sector, in which the artistic work is shared and expanded starting from the considerations of the students.
In 2024, some classes of Primo Liceo Artistico – Turin will host two art residencies:
– TRESPASS with Giuseppe Comuniello, Camilla Guarino and Marta Olivieri
– L’ECO DEL MONDO with Francesca Cinalli and Erica Pianalto
CAMPI GRAVITAZIONALI
November 2023 – May 2024
Campi gravitazionali is a lab curated by Francesca Cinalli and Paolo de Santis (Compagnia Tecnologia Filosofica); it was born as part of Campi Creativi project, in collaboration with Lavanderia a Vapore. It is aimed at young people under 25, interested in sharing a time of meeting, study, observation and re-elaboration, freely inspired by the themes and work practices encountered during the visit at Lavanderia.

IL CORPO DOCENTE
January – June 2024
Il Corpo docente is a training lab aimed at teachers and educators, with the purpose of investigating the potential of the performative in the transformation of pedagogical approaches. Starting from verbal and body language, participants develop reflections and practices on posture, listening and margin as a privileged place of learning. Then, they cross the biopolitics of pleasure as a space of intentionality that reactivates the ability to desire: an act capable of subverting the present and imagining a future change.
