Each year since 2018, Lavanderia a Vapore, residency centre and EDN members, dedicates to the International Dance Day a community project on the themes of memory and contemporary repertoire, involving schools and dance group into a educational and performative project.
Due to the national lockdown, the 2020 project thought and planned for an open space (Villa della Tesoriera Park in Torino, Italy) can not longer take place as wished: 400 professional and not professional dancers dancing on the renowned Le Sacre du Printemps by Igor Stravinsky.
The project, conceived by Lavanderia a Vapore from the original idea of the Belgian choreographer Alain Plate, involves all the board members and partners of LaV (Piemonte dal Vivo, Mosaico Danza, Zerogrammi, Coorpi e Didee Arti e Comunicazioni) joining forces for a very special events, waiting to be re-programmed as soon as possible.
Sunday, 26th of April at noon (date and time when the live performance should have happened) on Lavanderia a Vapore Facebook page and Piemonte dal Vivo Facebook YouTube Channel, a video will be narrating the project through the voices of the 3 tutors, Susanne Franco, teacher at Università Ca’ Foscari in Venice and the 20 dance groups who are involved.
The groups participating are: Arte in Movimento a.s.d., Artédanza a.s.d., Il Gabbiano a.s.d., APID, Artemovimento Centro di Ricerca Coreografica, Asd + Sport 8, Centro Ricerca Danza a.s.d., Associazione Italiana Giovani Parkinsoniani, Centro Aziza a.s.d., Centro Danza Robilant , Danzarea, Eclectica, Emozione Danza, AFED Alta Formazione Egri Danza, Ginger Company a.s.d., Gotan Prosec, LAB22 a.s.d.p.s., Nuovo steps a.s.d., Scuola del Balletto Teatro di Torino, Sowilo.
