We were working at Paradise. We were determined to celebrate, to share joy and feast. We wanted to break the dance, we wanted to turn it into a game. We began to imagine an open stage, in which audience and dancers could meet in a bright sharing, at the end of aninitiatory path.We had imagined a journey made of waivers and transformations, in a weird parallel between the athletic preparation and the training of the skier, the feeling of the downhill and the contemplation from the mountains, and the ascent/ descent of Dante to the Empyrean. But reality has been shattered. Today everything we were working on must be stopped, like a cut-off word or more like a frozen intention. Not only the aim should change, but we have to be aware of the working conditions we have, and play with them, so that reality can resound in our work. Working alone, spaced, avoiding contact, to avoid contagion. The pandemic and the quarantine characterize this uncertain present, hanging on a thread of a second wave.
