VIRGOLETTE_SHORT
by and with Elisa D’Amico, Francesco Dalmasso
Virgolette is a work on the sign, an attempt to re-design space, time and relationship starting from a system of rules. Based on specific space trajectories and possible modes of interaction, a system is established that matures and develops in action. The choreographic score originates taking into consideration distances, durations, interactions and encounters, which are stratified according to the logic of repetition and interruption, accumulation and progression. Virgolette is a system of cause-effect, back-and-forth reactions, where the climax is made by a discontinuous continuity of micro-climaxes, waitings, false starts and fake endings. Virgolette_short is an excerpt from Virgolette, a re-articulation of the choreographic material in another format.
