THRESHOLD is thought as a choreographic duet, scattered in time, where two performers will take turns on stage without ever physically meeting each other. Like two detached phases of the same signal. In this process, they interact between two distinct scores, linked to each other by a residual effect. The relationship between the two no longer embodies a center but is revealed only by the cutting line that separates them, and by the echoes of space and time. THRESHOLD is a piece stretched into the void, a reminder of the essential role of the environment in the emergence of any form of relationship.

Founded in 2017 by the Franco-Swiss artist and choreographer duo Angela Rabaglio and Micaël Florentz, Tumbleweed is a movement company based in Brussels and Zurich. The confluence of their very different artistic backgrounds is first and foremost a way for them to confront each other in a different way, to question their own realities, and to explore new territories for artistic research. Through constant dialoguing, inspired as much by their travels, science and philosophy as by their physical, technical and artistic curiosities, they develop their own understanding of movement, the body and its language.
Alongside Tumbleweed’s own projects, Angela Rabaglio and Micaël Florentz also work as outside eyes for other companies involved in research/creation, and have been giving workshops for professionals, amateurs and young audiences since the start of their activities.
